Who are we?
We are a community of believers called to bring hope, transformation, and the love of Jesus to the people living and working in the trash dump community of Danlí, Honduras. We’re not a formal organization; rather, we’re a group of people united by a shared purpose.
Though we function as a community, we operate under the support of Mission Driven Ministries—a local 501(c)(3) based in Huntsville, Alabama. https://missiondrivenministries.org/ Mission Driven Ministries provides the financial accountability and oversight necessary to ensure transparency and integrity in our work in Honduras. Through this partnership, we’re able to focus fully on our mission, knowing we have a solid foundation behind us.
We see the harsh reality of life here: a place where people labor every day, sifting through garbage to find items they can recycle and sell. But we see more than that. We see people created in the image of God, with inherent worth and dignity, just like anyone else. The only difference between us and them is where we happened to be born. Their circumstances are not a reflection of what our Creator thinks of them, but a result of a broken world.
Our mission is to come alongside them—not just to provide temporary relief, but to journey with them as we build a future filled with hope, possibility, and purpose, both now and forever.
