The picture is Katarina filling her bucket with clean water from the community well. A dream birthed 2 years ago is now reality, the community has clean drinking water. In October Primero Agua installed a solar pump in the well and gave us 4 solar panels and controller. Our task this month was to finish the water system to ensure the system produced pure water for the community. This team did a fantastic working together to make this happen in less than two weeks. Roxy, shown on the right, was fantastic. I showed her what connections needed to be made, she cut the wire and made all the connections. Her work is as good as any electrician I have seen. Just a reminder that the people here in the community are gifted, intelligent and willing to work, they just need an opportunity to do so. José Carlos utilized the welding skills he has learned to construct the solar panel frame for the solar panels.
