Last week a team visited the Danli trash dump providing dewormer medicine and a general physical welfare check of children living in the community. This visit was the idea of Mario, a friend of José and a pastor in José’s village of Naranjal. Pastor Teo, a friend of ours and a pastor in Danli connected us with a doctor in Danli who could oversee this visit. The community president, Marleny, coordinated the children to be treated/examined and assisted by Roxi. We are grateful that a team of Hondurans were moved to make this visit. This has been our prayer that Hondurans would minister to the people living in the Danli trash dump community. And I believe there are individuals in the trash dump who have been called to minister, whether in a typical ministry calling or a business calling. The residents in the Danli trash dump community need businesses that will allow individuals to provide for their families and others and utilize their talents for the kingdom of God. This is the goal we have; the people in the community fulfilling their God given calling, whatever that may be.
