Going to Danli

I will be traveling to Danli Honduras on the 17th for a three week mission at the trash dump in Danli. I will be accompanied in Danli by three Honduran friends as we work together with the people living there at the trash dump.  There are around 100 people who live adjacent to the trash dump.  Together we are going to repair and replace roofing on their houses and have doors installed on the bathrooms at the school by the trash dump.  This will be a cooperative effort with my three Honduran friends, the people there and myself to work together for these repairs.   While working together on these houses, my main goal is to continue developing relationships with the people there and listen to the Father above and the people to discern what type ministry is needed/wanted there in Danli.  We are very blessed to work together with a lady in Danli who is the president of the local school and is very energetic in helping her people.  While there we are meeting a friend from Texas who is flying down to Honduras at the same time to bring school supplies to various schools to include the school at the Danli trash dump.

I have very much appreciated the prayers and support of many.  I am very aware of the need to stay in step with Jesus as we discern what steps to take next.  While in the trash dump last July, we heard often from the people that many groups have promised much while visiting, but have never come back.  I can not imagine what it must be like to be constantly disappointed and looked down upon by others.

Please pray that we will listen well to the Father and the people there, and that the Father will raise up a Honduran shepherd of souls that we can work together with in Danli.  And that we continue to develop relationships with the people, and begin a journey together of seeing the Father perform miracles in the trash dump, both in hearts and daily lives.

Thank you,
